Hi there,

I am running SharePoint on a Windows Server 2008 virtual machine. I have installed the Visendo SMTP Extender and the service is running.

Could you please explain step by step how to configure Outlook 2007 so that I can send and receive emails to/from SharePoint.

My machine name is moss2007 and the domain is sharepoint.com

I am using moss2007.sharepoint.com as POP3 and SMTP server in Outlook, but it says it cannot connect to these servers.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards,
Asim

This is fixed.

Instead of FQDN, I added sharepoint.com and this solved the problem.

Now the issue is that incoming mail keeps sitting in the mailroot/queue foder and is not automaticlly moved to the mailroot/drop/<user> folder so that it can show up in the Outlook client user inbox.

How can this be fixed ?

Hi,

That issues with mail distributing between Queue and Drop folder it is an job of the SMTP server of IIS, and Its configuration of the mail domains.
How long the mails are in the Drop folder and the destinations are set in the SMTP Extender configuration than are redistributed in the corresponding accounts suvfolders.
